Pour ce Jour 25 d’Inktober, j’ai voulu changer totalement de style et sortir de ma zone de confort.
Cette illustration est un hommage direct à l’esthétique de Hellboy, une franchise que j’adore.
J’ai donc travaillé avec un encrage très marqué :
ombres profondes,
contrastes puissants,
formes stylisées,
et cette ambiance dramatique propre aux œuvres inspirées par Mike Mignola.
Un exercice artistique que je voulais tester depuis longtemps, tant ce style unique est fascinant par sa simplicité… et sa puissance.

For this Day 25 of Inktober, I wanted to completely change my style and step out of my comfort zone.
This illustration is a direct homage to the Hellboy aesthetic — a franchise I absolutely love.
I worked with a very bold inking style:
deep shadows,
strong contrasts,
stylized shapes,
and that dramatic atmosphere characteristic of works inspired by Mike Mignola.
A creative experiment I’ve wanted to try for a long time, as this unique style is fascinating in both its simplicity… and its power.
